OpenManage Mobile: Simplify Data Center Operations

OpenManage Mobile (OMM) is a free app developed by Dell Inc. for iPhone users in the Business & Productivity category. It enables IT administrators to securely provision, monitor, and troubleshoot Dell PowerEdge servers or MX7000 chassis directly from their mobile devices. With OMM, users can access and manage servers or chassis remotely over the management network or from inside the data center. The app supports remote access to iDRAC7 or above for servers and version 3.9 or later for OpenManage Enterprise.

One of the standout features of OpenManage Mobile is its utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) to monitor and troubleshoot MX7000 modular chassis. By simply aiming the camera at the chassis, users can connect and view health overlays. Tapping on a component provides more detailed information. OMM also allows remote access to consoles, supports at-the-server access to PowerEdge servers with iDRAC9, and at-the-chassis access to MX7000 chassis and sleds.

With OpenManage Mobile, IT administrators can receive proactive alert notifications, browse server or chassis details, perform power operations, configure bare metal settings, access Virtual Console securely with third-party apps, and utilize Dell Quick Resource Locator (QRL) video remediation for hardware troubleshooting.
